COHRE's Mission is to ensure the full enjoyment of the human right to adequate housing for everyone, everywhere, including preventing forced evictions of persons, families and communities from their homes or lands.

The COHRE Americas Programme works intensively in South and Central America, the Caribbean and North America to promote and protect housing rights. From its offices in Porto Alegre (Brazil) and Duluth (US), CAP monitors forced evictions, carries out education and training, and provides legal assistance to grassroots communities.
