In our view it is highly possitive that projects like this one appear from time to time; still, each one has to prove its merits, but no doubt it is better to recycle than scavenge.

One of the most important 'design flaws' of our consumer society is precisely that we consume, and this includes our mobile phones too. We should not confuse 'utilisation' with 'consumption,' because between these two words there is a gulf of difference between taking advantage of resources that are cared for to be reused again and again, and just grabbing things and exploiting them until there is no more use for them.

Using mobile phones has nothing bad per se, except when we consume them, when we just toss them away for superficial reasons without considering what kind of impact may such attitude have on our environment.

Causing positive or negative effects on our world - the only one we will have until we explore and conquer another planet - is not just part of the agenda of governments and corporations; it also depend on us, and in our opinion, every single initiative destined to change our consumer society into one of sustainable use of our natural resources is commendable and deserves recognition.

And if in the process toy can even make money, proving that plundering is not the only way to make a living, what else could you ask for?
