Martial Power Russian Special Ops

Using the information and products provided by this site, you will learn how the Russian Special Forces train and condition their soliders.

Very interesting as training means for anyone interested in self defence techniques, martial arts, as well as police and military units.

But among all sorts of combat survival techniques, when have to make a special mention about the scenario that most individuals find every day: the streets within a city are dangerous and may funnel people like cattle in the event of any sort of emergency.

If you look carefully, you will notice that walking thorough a city is done with total automation: we tend to follow other people as easily as we put one feet after the other on the floor. We automate so much our actions that in any given day, despite the fact that we are intelligent beings, we function in autopilot most of the time. Our movements thorough a city are more reminiscent of what ants do than anything else, even using machines like bicycles or cars.

Streets are designed to east the burden of traffic within urban areas… but that ease slowly blocks our mind and the different perspectives of movement that we have, in fact, in constructed areas; and these are as many as what we would find outdoors, in a forest or mountain.

This is why, if running away from a criminal in a typical urban survival scenario, people follow the streets without stopping to think a little, turning at every corner and following the street design, which may be 'safer' in terms of not getting lost, but not the shortest or more efficient for evasion. In other words, we tend to behave like cattle in panic during such situations; just look at what cows do when they get scared: they act automatically and run away wherever the easiest terrain take them.

We should keep our eyes open while we stay in a city and recognise ways, shortcuts and obstacles; some people like climbing edifices, others do skating thorough parks, streets and even stairs. Other use their bikes to get into the most improbable places.

Extreme urban sports may help us keep an open mind regarding the degree of real freedom of movement that we have in a city; we can have full '3D' movement, despite the fact that we don't realise the fact, and this may come very helpful whenever a survival or emergency situation unfolds before our eyes.
