In this case, we would only like to let you think a bit by quoting what Socrates said a long time ago about the immortality of the soul:

'Any soul is immortal because things that always have movement never die, but what moves other things but is at the same time moved by another, ceases its life because movement stops.

Thus, what has the capability to move itself, if it does not quit doing it, will never stop and becomes the source of movement for all things.

But it is necessary that all things that are born come from a source, because if the source would come from another thing, it will cease to be a source.

However, what comes from a source also has to be immortal, because if the source dies, it may never be born again and nothing will ever be born from it, because everything must come from the source.

Thus, the source of movement is what can move itself, an it is impossible that this ever dies or be born because if such were the case, the universe and generation itself would collapse and will never have means to be again, recover movement and become into existence.

So we can clearly say that what can move itself is immortal, and hence, we shall not fear to say that this is the essence of what the soul is, for anything that receives its movement from the outside is unanimated, but what receives it from itself is animated.

And if this is the case, what can move itself is the soul and by necessity, the souls shall be immortal and the origin of itself.'
