From past dealings and our experience with this company, we can say that while they offer a well-constructed website and attractive services, we can hardly recommend it for their inability or unwillingness to negotiate any sort of dispute in a peaceful manner. We do not have a problem about the services that they ofer, but the treatment that they may dispense to their customers and partners if they just happen to be in a bad state of humour.
To cite our own case, Darkblue had an advertising contract with Andinia.com LLC which was cancelled by them without prior notice and under the pretense that we had violated the terms and conditions of our agreement. When we asked them to provide sustaining evidence or an explanation for their stance - twice - they refused to do so, leaving us only with the possibility to speculate about their real motivations.
One of the easiest things in life is to accuse others; quite another is to support what you say with tangible and credible evidence.
Indeed, we rejected then any unsustained accussation and still refuse to accept their 'points of view' because no one is liable to accept guilt for anything which has not ben properly explained! We could not even reach enough understanding of the issue to assign responsibility for any mistake on our part - if had that been the case - or put the liability on Dark Blue Sea Ltd., proprietors of Darkblue.com! Frankly, we where astounded in aggravation as these people pretended to take us for mentally-retarded individuals.
Moreover, the person in charge of this affair did not present himself/herself; there was not even a personal signature in his/her (its?) emails.
Soon afterwards, a P.R. representative got in touch with us to offer her apologies for the whole thing, and we appreciate her gesture while understanding her position, but in our view, lack of manners means the loss of confidence and mutual trust, and that is the end of any sort of relationship.
We feel that there is little room to solve any misunderstanding or dispute with this company other than going to court or letting crocodiles eat them, so if you are considering services as those offered by them, why should you take these risks? Dark Blue will insult you out of the blue... sooner or later and unless they change their internal culture fundamentally.
We always thought that it is necessary to change the manner in which people relate to each other in business and so, we dispense our customers, partners, providers and everyone else a personal and friendly treatment, expecting fair reciprocation. Allow others to step in our toes in such an uncorteous way as we experienced - like it happens every day in the traditional business community - and lending us to play such a game, would soon turn Andinia into just another cold an impersonal company.
Moreover, the bitter experience we had with this people led us to revise our business policies concerning any other future contract with Australian entities.
Thus we feel that if you are looking to work online in advertising or as an affiliate partner, you should first look elsewhere before choosing Darkblue as your future business partner.
This is our opinion; don't just take us for granted or what any other would say about such issues. We are informing anyone whom may be concerned about our views and experiences in this case, but you should decide for yourself. In any case, we keep written copies of our communications with this company to prove what we say.
We would otherwise recommend their products and services; however, they seem to us rather bad mannered and unprofessional, not to mention that practises such as those that we experienced could be considered turbid and even illegal.
This is what we call 'web cretinism.'
