Plus, as the game or simulation gets more real, - of course, always between the irreversibility that only comes with reality -, it will challenge users more and more, training them to confront even unexpected scenarios: astronauts usually train for every conceivable task on Earth, using very sophisticated simulators. So, while there are indeed reasons to worry about certain games, it would not be wise to judge all of them under the same light and before actually running some tests; it is wrong to condemn gaming because they may brainwash teenagers, or turn them into morons, murderers or something like that. Games, if properly used, can teach self-discipline and quick thinking, and sometimes, they are the only way to teach certain things, so before judging games, perhaps it would be better to judge our way of using them. |
