How to build automatic lawn sprinkler systems; great for your home, vacationing house or cabin.

For the most part, we need a lot to make our home plants grow, but there is one place at least where the contrary is the rule; being small is difficult in a certain region of Africa, where even the smallest species of animals or plants, becomes rather gigantic.

The Ruwenzori Range is where the Nile river is born; these mountains, reaching about 5.000 metres, are located near the equator, somewhat northwest from Lake Victoria, and are unique because of the fact that they have snowy peaks and glaciers right in the middle of central Africa.

This particular morphology has produced a very, very strange landscape covered in fog due to a violent meteorology, but above all, is a land where many species become gigantic for reasons not yet quite clear.

Annelids may reach up to three metres, Lobelias reach four metres high, little bushes seen elsewhere become full-scale trees, and even species common around the mountains reach sizes much larger than usual.

This is rather odd and very difficult to explain, but it seems that the cause is indeed environmental: perhaps a combination of minerals in the soil, extreme air moisture plus a higher than normal exposure to ultra-violet radiation would explain this, but this is yet to be proved.

The weather, the omnipresent gigantism, the mountains covered in fog and their dark aspect has terrified even the local inhabitants, who rarely get close to them.

Expeditions organised to explore these peaks always found trekking to be extremely difficult in the area, so very little is really known about this massif.
