Bibliography and reference material on Farman F 192 aircraft. Avions Farman has been the creator of prolific series of aircraft based on some main models that were extensively developed in some cases, while in others only minor modifications were implemented. All these differences were registered as belonging to different aircraft, which was correct in some cases, while in others these changes should only be considered as proper of new versions or slightly different variants.
The characteristics of that fast-paced, ever-changing aeronautical environment at the time between both world wars makes it difficult to ascertain correctly what was a different model and what was just a different version.
The case of the F.192 is an example of this: it was registered as a completely different model, yet, it came directly from the F.190 from which it differed only in the engine, using a 230 hp Salmson in this case.
