Astronomy Magazine

Subscribe now to Astronomy Magazine and get all the information that you need for your hobby.

The magazine is very well presented, with lots of pages containing articles and photos, as well as advertising that can even be considered interesting for the reader due to to the fact that being very specific, it adds positively to the information that you receive.

Exploration and adventure are not things that should remain constrained to holiday excursions, to kayaking in rivers like the Futaleufu or Colorado, or perhaps getting into some extreme sport like bungee (or bungy) jumping.

What remains outside of our planet, that is, outer space, is the last frontier, but he have some doubts about calling it like that, for space is so vast that mentioning any frontier seems preposterous. Just consider that if we had a spaceship capable of going from the Sun to Pluto in just one second, it would take us more than a day to reach Proxima Centauri, our nearest star system, at just a short hop of 4,2 light years.

Our galaxy has a diameter of about 30.000 light years, and it is just one among others in a galaxy cluster, a structure with dimensions which are hard to fathom. But there are many clusters, and thousands of millions of galaxies; thus, we are probably wrong when we ask ourselves if we are alone, if there is life in the universe outside planet Earth, or if we will find fantastic and bizarre landscapes elsewhere.

This may sound a little speculative, but it makes perfect logical sense: being the universe infinite, as far as we know, we should be asking us when we will find those things, instead of if we will ever find them.

Some of us working at Andinia have seen real UFOs, and being pilots, we have spoken to high rankning military and security officers about the issue, and these folks, also pilots and with aerospace experience, have confirmed that they saw such things too along their careers.

Now, pilots undergo physical, medical, psychological and psychiatric tests every year, on a regular basis, and everyone in this field who knows at least a little about flying on instrument rules (IFR) is well aware of optical illusions and other phenomena that may present a hazard to flying aircraft, so we know what we are talking about, and when a pilot reports an UFO, the thing is in all likelihood something strange.

This does not confirm the presence of extraterrestrial starships here, but is a reminder: keep your minds open, people of Earth.

Of course, space exploration is an expensive venture far beyond the resources of most humans, at least if it involves putting someone or something into space, physically speaking. However, we can all make a contribution by promoting the study of astronomy and aerospace technology, by constructing our own research instruments, running computer simulations, and even developing mathematical models or prototype ideas.

We are all explorers in a spaceship called Earth.
