El templo de Medina Habu / Author: María Luz Ferrero

The Medina Habu temple, Egypt.

Hieroglyphs at the Medina Habu temple. One of the local inhabitants using an artesanal artifact, which gives the picture an eerie look.

The Egyptian temples are impressive because of their sheer dimensions, their antiquity - between 3.000 and 4.000 years -, the beautiful carvings and their hieroglyphs, describing their rituals and the advanced knowledge that these people already had.

In some temples, for example, there are even carvings dealing with issues such as gynaecology and fertility studies.
