After snow falls, you may have a difficult time finding your gear, so place everything inside your tent or shelter, if possible.

You can also use a plastic sheet or a poncho to cover things if you don't have more room for all your stuff inside your shelter but remember that if tne snowfall is heavy you will also need to know the exact location of your stash or cache, because most landmarks could eventually change or be buried as well.

Pay attention to avoid moisture and prevent the wind from blowing your things away.
