This is one of the commonest ways to use skiing boards as improvised survival equipment. The red, vertical object is a skiing board used as a mast to lift the plastic layer used to improvise a roof; a rock wall is also visible. This picture was taken while this shelter was still under construction; the walls were still too low and there was no structure to which the roof could be attached yet. So it was neccessary to improvise a little bit.
