 The Rio Azul has carved the whole valley of El Bolsón out of the rocky soil, as seen here. The valley in question is quite habitable and picturesque; a testament to the erosive power of water. The actual river can be easily seen in the picture; the whole valley is about 25km wide and since it has a north-south bearing, instead of the typical west-east or east-west for this region, it sports a different climate, much more habitable than the freezing cold of the Patagonina Andes. The valley is well-known for its beer breweries, organic fruits and vegetables, and all sorts of gourmet food. It is also home to the biggest hippie community in the planet. |
