A last-second picture of Mount Tres Picos, the biggest and tallest mountain in the Andean District of the 42 paralel.
This is a huge mountain, a whole range in itself that dominates the landscape near the Puelo Lake.
Picturesque as it may be, it is an extremely dangerous mountain reserved only for the best climbers; many died in its walls and glaciers, and some bodies could never be recovered.
It also marks the southernmost limit of the Andean District of El Bolson; behind it, at about 80 km from where the picture was taken, lies Lake Cholila and the small town that has the same name, lying along the road to Esquel City.
There, in Cholila, Butch Cassidy and his gang spent some years living in hiding.
