Finding Trails

In open places of large dimensions, especially in low areas that are recurrently covered with water, trails will almost certainly be find on the perimeter.

Since people and animals will tend to walk around those areas, it will generally suffice to go to the limits of the forest and do the same. Sooner or later a trail will emerge from the vegetation.
