You can perform several types of searches with our search engine, these are inclusive, exclusive, root and literal types (OR, AND, root, literal string); please take the following into account:
OR Type Search: In order to receive results for at least one of the terms that you type in the search box, use the tab option marked as “Any word.” So, if you type
word words, this kind of search will deliver results for
word, words or
word and words at the same time.
AND Type Search: If you choose the option “All words” you will get results that contain all the terms you typed. So, if you put
word words in the search box you will get results containing both
word and words, but not just
word without
words or vice versa.
Literal String Search Type: This is useful if you want to search for an exact phrase or sentence. You have to write it between “”; example; to search for
word and words as a whole string you will have to write
“word and words” in the search form.
Word Root Type Search: This allows you to perform searches on bits of words, getting as a result all the words that contain such chains of letters. You have to use the * sign to get such results, Thus, if you search for
word*, you will get results for
word, word, wording, etc.
