Some high-altitude places may look treacherously nice to camp in, especially under duress or in a survival situation. In this photography:

We can see a mountain lake that offer a great source of water; however, note the following:
- There are no shadows and consequently, not even small rocks to protect yourself from weather conditions.
- There is nothing combustible to use in order to start a fire.
- There is no vegetation, which means that occasionally there is a lot of wind there.
Thus, the place is not good for camping, even with good weather or if you have mountain climbing gear. In such cases, better continue looking; you will likely find an adequate place not far away.
