You should be careful and always remember to protect your camp whenever you choose to erect it cold, relatively flat areas exposed to cold fronts, which may be local or extended; except in tropical areas which have their own meteorological dynamics, cold fronts may be quite violent, particularly after for some days, temperatures have been slightly above the average for that particular region.
Places like Iceland, Patagonia, Alaska, Siberia, Scandinavia, Greenland, Antarctica, the Yukon and high altitude plains outside tropical regions may experience these very strong, often short-liven phenomena. Never camp in unprotected ground, and if there is no other choice, then make sure that you construct some sort of protection for your tent and equipment: otherwise, you may wake up at night only to see the wind taking away everything you have.
In general, we recommend the construction of in order to provide camps with some sort of strong and durable protection.
