|Asunto:||Keep visual contact while trekking|
While on a trail or trekking thorough the wilderness, members of a group should never lose visual contact between each other. In Gea groups the case is that there is always a guide marching at the front, looking for trails, signs and anything that would help navigate thorough the terrain, and a lieutenant, who marches at the rear of the column. This person is usually the second in experience, behind the guide, and his or her function is to make sure that he – or she – never loses visual contact with the guide. Thus, the whole group remains together.
This person also makes sure that nobody loses gear or stops without warning; that could potentially degenerate in an unnecessary survival situation.
