Karakorum - Literally, "black gravel" is the name given to an Asian mountain range of 500 km in length that serves as a natural border between Pakistan, China and India, which in turn is part of the Himalayas. Renowned for its highland glaciers in the world with the exception of the planet's polar regions. It is in it's second highest mountain in the world, K2 (8611 m) and other three Eight-thousanders: Gasherbrum I (8068 m) on Broad Peak (8047 m) and Gasherbrum II (8,035 m).
