The Andes - The largest mountain range in South America and America, 7,500 km long, with an average height of about 4,000 MSL. It is the second most prominent mountain relief in the world and its highest peak is Aconcagua (6962 MSL). Geographically it is divided into three major sub-regions, from north to south, are: the Northern Andes, the Central Andes and the Southern Andes.
