Staggers - 'The staggers' is the conventional name given to some neurological symptoms observed by farmers on sheep in Europe; it is caused by larvae of the dog parasite know as 'Taenia multiceps', which is transmitted thorough sheep and humans. If Taenia larvae find their way into the brain, they produce dizziness, loss of balance, severe headaches, convulsions and eventually death.
