You can also adapt common clothes and common fabrics in order to turn them more or less waterproof using a variety of methods:

1)- Glue together one of your clothes and pieces of adequately cut polyethylene or similar plastic much like an inner lining. This works best if you seal all seams and joints in the plastic using glue and duct tape.

2)- Apply thin and successive coats of paint or glue to the fabric. It is a slow method but works well.

3)- Use some commercially available sealant. In this case, you should follow the manufacturer's instructions.
