Attributions and a position of relative power could be enough to get away with something under some circumstances, but such a capability, which is typical of institutional leaders, should be used with extreme care because keeping a good position depends on avoiding abuses.

Bad leaders who abuse their prerogatives in order to take advantage of various situations despite everything and everyone else put themselves into such a position regarding third parties that whenever they show the slightest indication of weakness, they receive no mercy. Maintaining a leading position depends on the good use of prerogatives.

Any aspiring leader who manifests a set of goals or ideals regarding others but judges himself using a double standard is nothing more than a liar, and while such a conduct can successfully serve in order to achieve some initial victories, on the long run it becomes poison.

Self-critique is the single most important tool for a leader in order to keep his honesty regarding its ostensible goals and ideals.
