We reached a place near the summit of the mountain where we could clearly see some footprints as well as rocks fallen on fresh snow, over the glacier.

However, despite our calls made by means of a whistle and a gun, nobody answered.

We continued searching until at dawn, the storm began again. After a couple of minutes, I decided to abandon the search because it was becoming exceedingly risky for the four members of the group, trying to save apparently two persons who seemed to be already dead.

In the following days, we scanned the area on various occasions, but could not find anything; so, on our return to El Bolsón City, I advised the police about the situation, and despite their efforts to find those ill-fated mountaineers, they finally pronounced them disappeared, probably frozen during the night or fallen into a crevice while attempting to get out of the glacier.
