Gentlemen (and ladies) This is a computer. We can use this tool to locate, organize, and communicate information--for a profit. Or we can play video games and make idle chatter.
What are the basics of your chosen enterprise? If it's quality links in your niche, do you really NEED to spend five hours animating your graphics? Or would you be better served by surfing for new links?
On the other hand, if you need to showcase your design skills, get busy on those graphics!
For a while there, I was so busy looking for new and better ways to promote that I forgot that most of my subscribes were as a result of reading articles--but I was "too busy" to submit articles to other ezines.
Dumb move.
If your business isn't growing as fast as it should--if you feel like you're falling on your Astroturf--get back to the basics. You wouldn't be where you are if you hadn't done something right. All you have to do is remember what That was and do it again.
Because the secrets of success aren't complicated at all. They're basic.
