"A friend of mine who is an officer of the Norwegian Army showed me recently one of their tricks to fight cold weather and freezing temperatures. If you know what Norway looks like during January, or Patagonia during July, you would try this, and it is exactly what I did once. If you have cold feet and your soles cannot help you, you can improvise a pair of good isolating ones with paper coming from magazines or newspapers. You just have to fold it to the appropriate form and size of your feet, put it inside your shoes or boots, and you will be fine. This trick works very well, despite the fact that such soles are not particularly suitable for walking long distances. Thus, if you do not care much about mobility and agility, you can start putting newspapers in such a way that different parts of your body will be covered and thus, more corporal heath saved."
