"Snowfall over your tent could cause you some problems.

First, you will loose interior space because the walls and ceiling of the tent will comb inside because of the weight of the exterior snow.

In extreme cases, such weight could lead to a rupture of the tent's fabric.

Second, a layer of snow over your tent could have a similar effect to that of rain.

Snow combined with the "high" interior temperature of the tent will almost certainly cause a meltdown of the ice crystals. In the end, you will suffer a cold shower.

Thus, it is recommendable that you periodically remove the snow that falls on your tent."
