"If you employ a GPS system, make sure to use a standard hyperbole or "Datum" of reference. The most common one is called WGS - 84. This mathematical model is accepted by most brands of GPS receivers, but is somewhat inexact on high latitudes.

If you choose to use another one, either employ it as your standard all the time, or make the corresponding annotation in your database.

Changing your reference system without caution could lead to significant errors."
