Climbing can be done for a variety of reasons. Some people like the challenge or live on adrenaline, others do it for money, others to conquer their fears, and - at least in my case - to get a nice view.
I always loved to look at things from above; I even fly small aircraft so you may conclude that I am not afraid of heights.
The nice thing about seeing things in such a way is that every time you reach a nice place you say to yourself 'Ok. I like this place the most; I would like to build a hous here', but the next time you reach another place, you tell yourself the same thing.

There are many clubs and schools where you may start to learn these things; the great advantage of clubs is that after your initial training you may continue practising your sport and using their installations and equipment which - as you may imagine - is not exactly cheap.
