I am kind of obsessed with Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Why is that so? Because is the farthest you can go, at least by regular means.
If you ever go to Tierra del Fuego, you should visit the city and walk down to the shores of Beagle Strait.
Then stand still there for a while and find the east and with your mind try to see the next land across the seas.
I remember quite a strange sensation the first time I did that, for I realised that there, looking eastwards is the same as doing so westwards: I could only see a person, standing on a shore, looking.
